Once again,  Roland Emmerich has topped the box office charts with his new movie ‘2012′, a follow up to his  ’The Day After Tomorrow’ flick.

Movie goers whipped out $23.7 million in  ’2012’s’ first day in the box office making it the best movie of 2009 thus far! Directed by Roland Emmerich, ‘2012′  is about an unsuccessful and scruffy novelist  Jack Curtis, played by John Cusack, who first doesn’t get along with ex-wife Kate, played by Amanda Peet, and their two kids, but later gets closer to them thanks to the outbreak of quakes, volcanoes and tsunamis.

‘The Bourne Ultimatum’ leads box-office with 70.2 million

The Bourne Ultimatum
Matt Damon was born to character Jason Bourne in the trilogy “The Bourne Ultimatum” which became the biggest of any of the series, leading the weekend box-office with $70.2 million dollars. The movie wiped out “The Simpson Movie” with a record-breaking opening weekend, final figures showed Monday. The movies are based on Robert Ludlum’s spy thrillers.

The first two films in the “Bourne” series — 2002’s “The Bourne Identity” and “The Bourne Supremacy” (2004) which earned just over 500 million dollars worldwide. (more…)

Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan are back in the movie Rush Hour 3. After being away for more than 6 years Chris Tucker teams up with co-star Jackie Chan, director Brett Ratner (Rush Hour, Rush Hour 2, X-Men: The Last Stand, Red Dragon), and screenwriter, Jeff Nathanson (Rush Hour 2, Catch Me If You Can) for Rush Hour 3.

The movie will be in theaters on Friday, August 10, 2007.

Transformers Movie Pulls In 70 Million Over Weekend

The highly anticipated movie Transformers based off the 1984 cartoon raked up at the movie theaters pulling in over $70 million dollars over the weekend. So far the movie has made over $152,503,000 at the U.S. Box Office since releasing in theaters on July 3, making it the top grossing movie this week.
