Mariah Carey allegedly is set to release a new album in November. This will be the diva’s eleventh studio album if it is true. According to reports, HMVs UK website says the album is to be titled “Illusions: The Butterfly Within,” which has not been confirmed. However, Virgin Megastores UK Website has the same album title listed, “Illusions: The Butterfly Within,” with a different release date of October 11, 2007.

Like every other celebrity, Mariah Carey is taking a stab at putting out her own fragrance. Although the news was first announced earlier last year, it seems that she has just gotten back into gear and is now ready to release it to the public.

Her first fragrance, M by Mariah Carey is in partnership with Elizabeth Arden (the same company that sells the Britney Spears perfumes) with the help of perfumers Carlos Benaim and Loc Dong of International Flavors and Fragrances. The singer reportedly signed a licensing and marketing deal to create and promote the fragrance using her name and trademarked butterfly design.

“This is the first fragrance I’ve ever worn. The inspirations were multiple – places I’ve been, moments in my life, childhood things like the marshmallow scent,” the singer told press.
